After Argentina eliminated Switzerland, Tagliafico gave an interview to LA RED radio.

I can imagine how excited you must be right now, Argentina has made it to the World Cup semi-finals again.
This is a source of pride, an indescribable pride. Everyone hopes their national team can achieve the best results in the World Cup. I believe the primary goal is to persevere to the very end. Today we did it; we crossed that hurdle.
I'm very happy because this team deserves all of this. Even after winning games and championships, this team continues to work hard, keeps trying, and always believes that we can do more.
I know you're very emotional right now, but I still want to ask, why do you think the team has had such a difficult time in this World Cup?
The reason it was a difficult game was because our opponents knew us very well. They understood our game plan and knew we would commit a lot of players to the central areas, which was also the case today. Throughout this World Cup, we've seen opponents either under immense pressure or retreat to their own half to defend. I think we definitely conceded possession today, even though we're usually a possession-based team. The fact that we didn't control the tempo for as long as we usually do today is probably one of the reasons.
