Ahead of the World Cup semi-final, Terry appeared on FIFA's official podcast to discuss his views on the England team, stating that he believed England could defeat Argentina.

Bellingham scored twice in the quarter-final against Norway, helping his team to victory.
“I said at the beginning of the World Cup that he reminded me of Zidane. He is leading this team forward now. I think he is world-class. Moreover, if you listen to him talking off the field, he also has a very calm temperament.”
Next, England will face Argentina.
"To be honest, I'm not worried about Argentina. I'm not going to stare at Argentina and sit here worrying that they're better than us. I think, in terms of individual ability, we are better than Argentina."
"Do you know what I like most about this England team right now? We've created so many great moments, we have a great team, and it feels like everything is on our side. It feels like it's England's time to shine."
