According to the latest report from The Sun, McAllister's mother recently sparked strong dissatisfaction among Argentine fans. She stated that out of consideration for her granddaughter, she would not join the crowd in singing anti-England chants at the World Cup, which led to her being accused of being pro-British by Argentine fans.

The animosity between Britain and Argentina has a long history, with roots in the Falklands War, Maradona's "Hand of God" incident, and the fierce competition in the 1998 and 2002 World Cups, but Silvina is unwilling to be drawn into this atmosphere of antagonism.

Like head coach Lionel Scaloni, Silvina deliberately distanced herself from the historical conflicts between the two countries.

Some fans accused her of wavering stance and taking sides, while many others directly resorted to insults.

Another person wrote, "How embarrassing."

The third comment bluntly stated: "Alright, Silvina, stop pretending to be pro-British."

McAllister himself maintained a similarly mild and neutral stance.

The Liverpool midfielder said: "I have great respect for the English people. I've lived here for six years and everyone has always treated me very well. On a purely footballing level, I know they will fight tooth and nail to beat us. This match is going to be tough, and we have to be fully prepared. Putting everything else aside, it's going to be a great game."
