Kane spoke on social media about missing the final: It's really hard to accept being eliminated like this.

After England's 1-2 defeat to Argentina in the World Cup semi-final, captain Harry Kane posted his thoughts on social media early this morning.

Kane stated on social media:

At this moment, no words can fill the void in my heart.

We were so, so close to making it to the finals again, but ultimately we couldn't. We gave it our all for the past seven weeks, and it's really hard to accept stopping like this.

I know there are high expectations from the outside world, which is understandable. For the past eight years, we have repeatedly tried to reach the highest stage, but we have always fallen short of that final piece of the puzzle. Going forward, we must accept all of this, process this setback, and find ways to continue improving.

I am incredibly proud of this team and our performance in this tournament. We've come a long way, facing many tough matches and overcoming numerous challenging away games.

This tournament has left many memories that our players will cherish, and I believe that it has also left memories that all our fans will cherish.

Pursuing glory doesn't guarantee its attainment. You must fight for it, be knocked down, get back up, and keep going. And that's exactly what we need to do next. We have no choice but to continue believing in ourselves and keep striving.
