After advancing to the World Cup final, Argentine midfielder McAllister gave an interview and was asked about former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.
When asked about his thoughts on Klopp's impending appointment as Germany's national team coach, McAllister initially gave a cautious answer: "I don't know about it, and I won't comment on it. But I'm happy he's back in charge. He's someone who has helped me a lot."
Klopp brought McAllister from Brighton to Anfield in the summer of 2023. After one season together, Klopp ended his nine-year tenure managing Liverpool. Together they won the League Cup.
McAllister continued, " So, I hope he can bring success to Germany and to this country. I wish him all the best."
