According to French media outlet CANAL+, Mbappe is expected to start in the World Cup third-place match against England.

The report states that although French coach Didier Deschamps plans to rotate his squad, Kylian Mbappé is expected to start against England.

Mbappe has two goals for this match: to help Deschamps, who is about to play his last game as coach of the French national team, secure a third-place finish at the World Cup, and to improve his ranking on the top scorer list.

Kanté will also start in France's final match.

Mbappe is currently tied for first place in the top scorer list with Messi with 8 goals, but trails Messi in assists in the race for the Golden Boot.
