In the final of the USA-Canadian Cup, Argentina's Paredes pushed down and choked Spain's Eric Garcia after the match, and then tackled Garcia twice.
Based on photos and videos taken at the scene, Paredes first pushed Eric Garcia to the ground, then choked him as he stood up. When Garvy approached, Paredes first tackled him to the ground, then grabbed him by the back and forced him down.
Throughout the incident, Paredes completely lost control, displaying a menacing expression, and was therefore given a red card, with further penalties to be imposed.
