The reaction in Argentina was strong. According to Argentine media outlet TyC Sports, they viewed it as mockery, believing the Spanish team was ridiculing them. Furthermore, a banner displayed by fans on the team bus also sparked discontent in Argentina, demanding a duel between Paredes and Gavi after the match.
