According to Sport Bild, Mbappe actively recommended Olise to join Real Madrid during the World Cup.
According to the media outlet, Mbappe had previously shared Real Madrid's plans with Olise. Mbappe also told Olise that Real Madrid needed him and presented data to illustrate how well the two would complement each other on the field.
The 27-year-old player also praised the living environment in Madrid, commending the city and living conditions. Sport Bild reports that Mbappe has been almost constantly "pursuing" Olise for about five weeks during the World Cup.
Meanwhile, Mbappe also spoke with Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez, telling him he had received "positive signals" from Olise. The Champions League is considered the Bayern Munich star's primary objective.
After being eliminated by Spain in the World Cup semi-finals, Olise is more eager than ever to win a major tournament title as soon as possible. However, the 24-year-old is increasingly doubtful of his ability to achieve this goal while wearing the Bayern Munich jersey: he was eliminated in the quarter-finals in 2025 and the semi-finals in 2026 with Bayern, and therefore believes he has a much better chance of winning the title with Real Madrid.
