Fenway Sports Group has confirmed that a consortium led by British-Indian businessman Amit Bhatia has approached them regarding a stake in Liverpool, and negotiations are still in the early stages.
The consortium, backed by the Mittal family, has a net worth estimated at over £26 billion. Fenway Sports stated, "An investment consortium led by Amit Batia has expressed interest in making a strategic minority investment in Liverpool." Batia confirmed his departure from Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday.
On the pitch, manager Iraola is leading a 31-man squad in preseason training in Chicago, USA, against teams including Sunderland, Wrexham, and Leeds United. Summer signing Muñoz has yet to join the team due to his participation in the World Cup final, but Jacquet has already traveled with them.
