Bayern Munich's young star Cardoso has a good chance of playing for either Brazil or Portugal. He himself admitted that it's a "luxury." In an interview with Brazilian television station Globo Esporte, Cardoso said, "Having dual citizenship is a very valuable asset."

Cardozo has yet to make an appearance for either of these two countries, not even at the youth level. He said, "I have great respect for both national teams; they are both very important. God help me, one day I will have my moment to make a decision, and I will be ready for it."
"Every player's dream"
Cardozo is the first player to be promoted to the first team through the Bayern Munich World Squad, an international youth talent selection program. Now, he is also looking forward to playing in the World Cup. He said, "It's every player's dream, and it's my dream too. It's one of my biggest goals. So I will train hard and give it my all every day so that by 2030 I will be ready to be selected for the national team."
The attacking dribbler, born in São Paulo, revealed that he would be particularly happy if he could be selected for the Brazilian national team. He said, "I always watched Brazil's games when I was a kid—because of Neymar—and always cheered for the team. My dream has always been to play for Brazil, but I will be ready for both teams."
