Controversy erupts! FIFA posted a picture of the World Cup final extra time, but used a picture of Mbappe instead of 2022.

On July 24, Beijing time, a post and image published on FIFA's official social media account sparked controversy.

When reviewing the last five World Cup champions decided by extra time, FIFA used Kylian Mbappé's image instead of Argentina's for the 2022 World Cup.

FIFA wrote: "The drama on the biggest stage: five of the last six World Cup finals went to extra time."

The accompanying image below shows the picture of French star Kylian Mbappé for the 2022 World Cup, while the images of the champions from the other four World Cups besides Argentina, the 2022 champions, also appear in the picture.
