Former Japanese national team player Shunsuke Nakamura (48 years old) recently spoke about his future plans, expressing interest in youth training.

On July 26, Shunsuke Nakamura participated as a coach with the U-15 J-League selection team in a match at Ajinomoto Stadium. After a 1-1 draw against Liverpool U-15, the team won 3-1 on penalties. During this event, he was responsible for attacking and set-piece training. When opportunities arose during the match, he also stood on the sidelines to give instructions to the players in place of head coach Kenjiro Shiro.
Shunsuke Nakamura revealed that he used his experience as coach of the Japanese national team under Hajime Moriyasu during the World Cup to conduct an hour-long discussion on the theme of "excitement." To help the players understand, "Is this what the current national team is like? Is this the world standard?", I specially edited a video and put in a lot of effort.
Despite only having four days, he gained valuable insights: "The fact that 15-year-olds can achieve this level and have this tactical understanding has taught me a lot." He further stated, "I haven't always been doing top-level work, and I'm also interested in youth training." When asked which age group or team he hopes to coach in the future, he declined to comment: "That will be decided by the technical committee chairman, Masakuni Yamamoto. It's not clear yet; there will be a meeting later."
