According to Sport1, following Bayern Munich's World Cup defeat four weeks ago, the German internationals have begun preparing for the new season. Kimmich, Neuer, Ulbig, Jonathan Tah, Nathaniel Brown, and Paulovic completed their routine fitness tests first.

The six players will travel to the training camp at Lake Teigen on Tuesday. There, Kimmich and others will finally put aside their disappointment from the World Cup round of 16 loss to Paraguay at the FC Rottach-Egern stadium at the foot of the Valberg hill.
If the players are healthy and have returned from their holidays, the rest of the squad began preparations last Monday. Bayern Munich lost 1-2 to third-division side Wehen Wiesbaden with a young lineup last Saturday, and then departed for a four-day training camp on Monday with a depleted squad. The team will play their second pre-season friendly on Thursday against amateur team FC Rottach.
Head coach Kompany is currently unable to utilize several key players who went further in the World Cup.
Kane, Upamecano, and Olise have yet to return to the squad, and Lennart Carr, Gnabry, and Alphonso Davies, who have recently been injured, have not yet fully returned to training. Musiala is continuing his recovery after undergoing routine surgery. He previously suffered a serious foot injury during the 2025 Club World Cup.
