Garcia admitted that he was touched by the immense love the players received during the celebrations, and he also specifically praised his teammate Ferran Torres, who scored in the final.
When asked about the psychologist he worked with Torres, Garcia emphasized without hesitation that both of them had put in mental effort to reach the top and win the World Cup.
Garcia said: "For better or for worse, Ferran and I can be put in this category because we're used to everything. Our job is to play football, and I think it's a blessing. I always say that things can get better or worse, but you have to always be on the field and stay in the right form. Ultimately, it was no accident that he scored the goal that brought us the World Cup under these circumstances."
Garcia also explained his feelings about participating in his first World Cup, an experience that happened in the final: "I was preparing all month, waiting for the opportunity to come, and it finally came in the final. We seized the opportunity, which is what everyone is aiming for. Whenever it's our turn to play, we are always ready to contribute. I kept telling the coach that I would do anything he needed me to do."
The Barcelona player admitted that there was a moment when the team began to feel they had a chance to win the World Cup: "That was after Enzo was sent off, when they substituted Julian and brought on another defender."
After adding the World Cup trophy to his collection, Garcia knew that the next goal of his career was to win the Champions League with Barcelona.
