According to FIFA's announcement on Monday, nearly 675,000 hot dogs were sold at World Cup stadiums, setting a new record. At $8.99 each, fans spent over $6 million on this hot dog bun and sausage treat.

FIFA also stated that fans consumed over 5.5 million beers and more than 4.6 million bottles of beverages and mineral water inside stadiums. The World Cup in the United States, Mexico, and Canada attracted a total of 6.8 million spectators. FIFA said that behind the scenes, more than 43,000 volunteers, 73,700 accredited security personnel, and FIFA staff from 104 countries ensured the smooth running of the 104 matches.
FIFA Secretary General Matthias Grafström said: "These figures illustrate what it takes to host the largest sporting event to date. Whether it's welcoming fans, preparing venues, supporting teams, protecting stadiums, or broadcasting the event to a billion viewers worldwide, the entire North American workforce is helping this World Cup set a new standard for global sports."
