According to a report by Marca cited by Goal.com , Paris Saint-Germain has abandoned its plans to sign Spanish midfielder Rodri this summer.
Spanish media outlet Marca reports that Rodri has recently been considered a potential candidate for Paris Saint-Germain, seen as a response to Real Madrid's pursuit of Jan Diomande.
However, the Paris Saint-Germain hierarchy has never discussed this deal; neither chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi, sports advisor Luis Campos, nor head coach Luis Enrique have mentioned it.
Paris Saint-Germain's management believes that Vitinha is currently the best player in his position. The team also has several midfield options, including João Neves and Fabian Ruiz, who have shown significant improvement under Luis Enrique, as well as Warren Zaire Emery. Despite not being a regular starter under Deschamps, he still earned a place in the World Cup squad.
