In an interview, Ginter, who is currently training with Freiburg for the new season, talked about the German national team and the newly appointed Klopp.
Speaking about the German team's performance in the World Cup, he said, "I've been following it closely, and I was saddened by it. Now we have a new direction. Everyone hopes things will get better."
When asked about the possibility of returning to the German national team under Klopp, he said: "It's hard to say. I've reached a certain age. By the next major tournament, I'll be 34. We'll see then. Overall, I did have a very realistic opportunity to participate in the World Cup this year, but unfortunately, it didn't happen. Right now, the German national team isn't my biggest concern. However, it's nice to be able to focus all my attention on the club occasionally."
Speaking about playing under Klopp, he said: "He's a great communicator and always willing to listen to the players. He's the same person he is in the media. He's also a bit like a friend to his team. That's very important as a national team coach because time is limited. Managing people's hearts is crucial. Klopp definitely has that. He will make the right decisions and reignite the excitement of so many fans in our football-obsessed nation."
