Olmo recalls his childhood: everything was earned through his own efforts; he is grateful to his father for guiding him.

According to Diario Sport, Olmo fulfilled his dream by winning the World Cup with Spain and was a key player for almost the entire tournament.

Olmo, from Terraza, is currently on vacation, taking a long break after the season, but he is in the prime of his life and career. The La Masia alumnus went to Croatia as a teenager and has now established himself as a key player for both Barcelona and the Spanish national team, becoming a decisive factor in matches.

“I’ve never had anything for nothing in my life. Everything I’ve achieved on the football field has been earned through hard work, and it’s not easy. But it’s these experiences that have made me who I am today and shaped my character,” he said in an interview with Icon magazine.

Olmo's story has been closely intertwined with football since childhood. His father, Mikel, was a player and later coached several clubs in the Spanish Second Division, including Terraza FC and Sporting Sabadell. "No one ever forced me to be a football player. I enjoyed playing with my father, and he enjoyed playing with me. That's how it all started," he said.

From a young age, Olmo knew what he loved. He never considered a path outside of football, although he says no one in his family ever pressured him to reach the top. Everything happened naturally, stemming from his desire to play and the joy of spending time with his father on the grass.

Olmo himself has explained many times that those afternoons playing football together were the starting point of his professional aspirations. For him, football has always been associated with joy and learning; there were no imposed demands or excessive expectations, which allowed him to grow while enjoying the sport.

“He always focused on me, on where I could improve and play better, rather than just on the team. My father is one of the people in the football world who knows me best, and I never resist listening to him tell me what I did well and what I did poorly. Now I can see many things for myself,” he said in Icon magazine when talking about his relationship with his father and his progress in football.

Mikel had a significant influence on his development. After each game, the two would calmly review the game, looking back at areas where Danny could improve. The conversations always revolved around his personal growth and how to better utilize his strengths.

Although Olmo still values his father's opinion, he also admits that with experience, he has been able to form more complete judgments and see many details that he previously needed others to remind him of.
